I apologize for not posting in the past 10 days, but my days go by fast and once I am home, I am exhausted and ready for bed.
I can sum up these past 10 days in one word: wine. Everything in class has to do with wine, and I am definitely not complaining. We have some french classes in there as well, too! :) I have learned more than I ever expected to in two weeks worth of time. We have visited many wineries throughout France; yesterday we spent the day touring 2 wineries in Bordeaux and stopped at a wine shop that sold wine from Bernard Arnault's winery, which was priced over 300 euros (that's a lot of USDs).
This past weekend we rented an apartment in Marseille with 12 students. We hiked through the Calanques National Park and it very well may have been the most beautiful place I have ever or will ever see. The water was clear, bright blue like something you would see in a picture. It was surreal to be there. Even though the water of the Mediterranean was extremely cold we spent the day cliff diving, swimming, and laying out on the rocks. The day was my definition of perfection. I would kill to go back and spend more time there, the view was breath taking.
Today was our final day at Purpan, ending with a day full of exams (french & viticulture). They were pretty darn tough... and that is all I am going to say about that. :/
The last time I blogged I was still not sure where I would be interning. Friday afternoon I finally got an answer. Tomorrow around noon I will be heading to Clos Basté in Moncaup, France to work on a winery. I don't have much information about what my next 4 weeks will look like, but feel free to search this winery on Google! I am super nervous to be leaving my American friends at Purpan, but am just as excited to begin this next leg of my journey abroad! With this being said, I have no information about whether or not I will have internet access. Hopefully I will, not sure how I will contact home if there is no internet, I'll figure something out once the time comes.
C'est tout pour le moment. (That's it for now)
Bonsoiree!
